Zonguldak province has archaeological and urban protected areas with important artifacts and structures belonging to historical and cultural values. The protected areas are scattered around the center, Karadeniz Ereğli and Çaycuma regions. There are about 500 immovable cultural assets registered within the borders of Zonguldak province. These assets mainly consist of civil and administrative buildings, cemeteries and tombstones, and the remains of ancient structures. With its industrial heritage, handicrafts and gastronomic diversity, cultural values are the center of attention of local and foreign tourists.
There are important locations in Zonguldak such as Tieion-Billaos Ancient City, Kadıoğlu Mosaics, Karakoçlu Beylik Tomb, İnönü Cave, which are directly in the field of archaeology. In addition to these, Kdz. Ereğli Bozhane Bath, Filyos Castle, Beykoz Asarı Castle, Ereğli Castle, Gökçebey Herkime Houses, Uzun Mehmet Monument, Üç Şehit Mehmet Monument, miner monuments in various parts of the city, Çaycuma Arasta Bazaar, Cane Bazaar and Cane Workshops, Zonguldak Lighthouse, Ölüce Lighthouse, Heracles Palace, Çeştepe Lighthouse Tower, Roman Aqueducts are among the important cultural elements that can be counted.
