In order to prepare the Zonguldak Coal Geopark Project, the proposal regarding the bylaw amendment of Zonguldak Tourism Infrastructure Service Association (ZONTAB) was approved by the parliamentary decision dated June 08, 2021 and numbered 2021/8 and entered into force on June 14, 2021 after the approval of the Zonguldak Governor. ,

The name of the geopark, which is planned to be established on June 24, 2021, was determined as Zonguldak Coal Geopark, and within this framework, the Directive on the Establishment, Working Procedures and Principles of Zonguldak Coal Geopark (JEOZON) was prepared and put into effect on June 24, 2021.
